Safe Cleaning Products

There are many reasons to look for Safe Cleaning Products.  The main one is often for the health of you and your family.  Another reason many people look for safe cleaning products is that they are concerned about the effect on the environment.

Many of the mass produced cleaning products used and offered in the supermarket have toxic chemicals, chlorine and more in them that can pollute our indoor air quality and affect our health.  If you read their warning labels closely you will be very concerned to use it your home.

Many people now have more allergies and asthma then ever before and there are more and more studies coming out linking the
use of toxic cleaners to the cause of these problems.  I have heard of many individuals stories who has so many less health problems once they stopped using toxic cleaners.

So you might be wondering, what is it that is toxic in these cleaners?  Here are a few examples to be aware of…

• Air Fresheners-(regular supermarket ones) many contain dichlorobenzene which is a carcinogenic and very toxic.

• Bleach-Chlorine is highly corrosive and can be very dangerous to skin and eyes.

• Oven-Cleaner- is extremely dangerous and can cause respiratory problems along with headaches.

• All-Purpose cleaners- Many have chlorinated materials which are dangerous.

Have you ever noticed after cleaning the bathroom with a mainstream product you have a headache?  I know I have.  It’s no coincidence, it’s from the fumes of the the cleaner which are toxic.

So what do you do?  You want to start to look for places to get natural products, that really work.  The supermarket is really not the place to get them.   I know over the years I have tried some that didn’t clean well, and there is no point to that!!  You can also use some natural home made solutions like vinegar to clean your wood floor (make sure to dilute it with water!).
